coming to korea
The Army told me I’d be going to South Korea for a year. I knew that if I lived in the country it would be easy to visit ESWS in person, or go visit my hometown.
In a funny way, because of all the setbacks, I think I gained a different perspective on the search. I gave myself one year to try as much as I could to try and connect with her, and to learn about the city and country I was born in, and I was just open to any and all possibilities. If nothing else I’d have a blast traveling and seeing the country with my wife. One year seemed like a good length for the project, and it gave me a very motivating backstop.
